All the eight universities in NZ are known for their academic excellence and fall under the top 3% in the world. Along with the universities, the 16 NZ Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics and more than 700 private institutions offer many programs of different levels for international students. 

Students can do diplomas at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and degrees at Bachelor , Master and Doctoral levels. The NZ government sets strong quality controls to ensure high education standards.

Students can work part time , up to 20 hours in a week during term time and full time during holidays and are also give 2-3 years of Post Study work visa after studies. Excellent scholarships are also available to meritorious students at universities. International students doing PhD have to pay only the domestic fees, the tuition fees that New Zealanders pay. They also have full time work rights.
